February 23- March 6 2011
Experience the living sacredness of India in a town filled with saddhus, temples and the holy river. Mavis
Gewant and Pieter Weltevrede will guide you along your journey of healing and transformation as you paint a yantra and deity
especially chosen for you. This is a great opportunity to study with two of Dada-ji's close students with over 30 years of
sacred art experience. Pieter, a master of the Harish Johari Wash Painting Technique will offer his expertise and knowledge
for students wanting to go deeper into their painting practice. Mavis, an experienced teacher, artist and astrologer, will
offer jyotish to help participants pick an appropriate yantra. Seema Johari will be our host, taking us to local temples,
ashrams and Rishikesh.
After
flying into Delhi, students will arrive in Haridwar on Feb 25th. Every morning we will spend approximately 4 hours painting.
Afternoons will be free for exploration, as well as trips to Ganga for evening aarti, and visits to local ashrams. March 3rd
is Shivaratri, a very auspicious time to be in Haridwar. We will return to Delhi on the 5th, where there is much shopping
before flying home on the 6th.
Accommodations will be comfortable at the home of our teacher, Harish Johari. This trip includes all accommodations,
meals, ground transportation and local trips.
